Courses
At T.E.C.H. Camp, we offer a variety of courses, introducing girls to anything from hardware,
to software, to math used in programming! The student teachers are well-equipped and
ready to guide your daughter in exploring a whole new world in
technology, where she has a place. Each girl will select 4 courses to take at camp.

Math for Programmers |
3D Printing |
Do you love math? Did you know that programmers often think in entirely different number systems like base-2 and base-16? Do you wonder how A1, 10100001, and 161 can all mean the same thing? How about logic and true/false challenges? In this class, you will learn the different number systems used by computers along with boolean algebra. This class aligns with the curriculum of the American Computer Science League, providing students the opportunity to keep learning after the this class is over. |
Have you ever wanted to transform a 2D drawing into a 3D creation that you can hold in your hand? In this class, you will learn to design 3D renderings and to physically print them. |
Web Dev 101 |
Programs on Wheels |
Did you know there are currently more than 1 billion websites on the internet today? Do you want to learn to create your own web page? In this course, you get to design and build your very own website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and put it on the internet for all to see! |
Let's give our programs wheels! In this class, you will use block programming to control an mBot wheeled robot. Your programs will use sensors to examine the environment and to control the robot's motion and lights. |
Block Programming with Tello Drones |
Python 101 |
Are you new programming? Block programming is a great way to get started. In this course, students will use a language similar to Scratch to control mini Tello Drones. Watch your programs fly through the air! |
Do you want to learn a programming language used by companies across the world? Python is great place to begin! In this class, you will learn to about variables, conditions, loops, and input/output. These are the foundation to all types of programming! |
Programming Hardware |
Structures and Machines |
How does the software in refrigerators, tvs, and cars work? How do these programs connect to the physical world? In this course, you will learn to create Arduino programs that receive input from sensors and give output with LEDs so that you can connect your code to the world around you! |
How do bridges hold up heavy objects? How do catapults throw things through the air? In this class, you will learn about simple machines and structures and then build them. Let's do some physics and engineering! |
